Privacy Policy

What this site does not do

OSRS Brain has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side database. There is no backend at all — it's a static site that runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into a calculator (levels, XP, gear choices, usernames) is sent to us or stored on any server we control.

What's stored in your own browser

Some calculators (for example the Gemstone Crab calculator) save your gear and level selections using your browser's localStorage so they're still there if you refresh the page. This data stays on your device — it's never transmitted anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Third-party data this site calls directly from your browser

To show live, accurate numbers, your browser makes direct requests to:

• OSRS Wiki API (oldschool.runescape.wiki) — item stats, spell data, and Grand Exchange prices.
• Wise Old Man API (wiseoldman.net) — the optional "Fetch your stats" hiscores lookup.

These requests go straight from your browser to those services, not through us. As with any web request, those services may log standard technical information such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies — we don't control or receive that data.

Advertising and cookies

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.com if you are in Europe). We don't set our own tracking or advertising cookies — any ad-related cookies come from Google or its partner networks directly, and we don't receive personal data from them.

Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message provided by Google (a Google-certified consent management platform) asks whether ads and cookies may be used, before personalized ads are shown. You can accept, decline or manage your choices there, and you can change your mind later by clearing this site's cookies and reloading the page. If you don't consent, you may still see non-personalized ads.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Both are subject to their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. Ads are not intentionally targeted at children.
